At a Lab where babies are manufactured, Harold shows up to claim his baby boy only to find that there has been some miscommunication about the delivery date. In the midst of this chaos, Roger a sperm donor and Harriet an egg donor might fall in-love, if they can get rid of Twyla - the head secretary of the lab, who doesn't want them anywhere near each other.
With the authors permission, I reset this farce to take place in the future. We developed the character of Twyla into a cyborg receptionist and created a futuristic lab where people can order babies to go. Our futuristic concept aided the comedic visuals of the play, while adding to the occasional more sinister atmosphere of a factory where babies are engineered. The dichotomy of the wild futuristic comedy combined with honest questioning about technology vs. nature created an entertaining yet thought provoking evening of theater.
